ESP - LTD GL600 V George Lynch in black satin
ESP Guitars has introduced two new Signature Series guitars bearing the name of George Lynch. The new LTD GL-600V and ESP GL Super V join several other Lynch-designed models in the ESP/LTD line, including the famous Kamikaze, the custom instrument that inspired ESP in 1986 to begin creating Signature Series guitars and basses. Lynch, a longtime ESP user and endorsee, is known worldwide for his work with Dokken, Lynch Mob and his solo artistry.
“We’re very happy to continue our work with George Lynch,” says Allen Steelgrave, ESP Director of Marketing and Artist Relations. “George was integral to the initial success of ESP. It’s great that twenty years later, we’re still getting amazingly innovative guitars through our relationship.”
two new George Lynch Signature Series models are the ESP GL Super V and the LTD GL-600V. Both models offer a unique asymmetrical V-shaped body, with an extended radius along the outer edges. The fine mahogany body has two available finishes: black satin and see-through black cherry. On the ESP Super V, the chrome hardware and aluminum pickguard are pre-distressed, while standard chrome hardware and a semi-mirrored pickguard are offered on the LTD GL-600V. Both models use a set neck design in a 24.75” scale. The 3-piece mahogany neck has a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard and pearl dot inlays, as well as a stylized “Super V” logo at the 12th fret. Additional hardware includes a Tonepros bridge and Sperzel locking tuners. The LTD GL-600V makes use of a combination of Seymore Duncan SH-12 and Fat Cat pickups, while the ESP GL Super V substitutes an engraved and pre-distressed Duncan GL Super V pickup in place of the SH-12 in the bridge position (along with the Fat Cat as the bridge pickup).
